He participates in the World Cup 2015 year in cross-country ski, representing Russia in the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2015 at Falun. Gaining double championships this season unquestionably gave a boost to the athlete along with the Russian group who were disappointed following the current doping scam. Larkov won a bronze medal at 50 kilometers classical in the 2018 Winter Olympic Games. In addition, he won a silver medal in 4×10 km relay in the 2018 Winter Olympic Games at Pyeongchang. He started the game at age 15 at Zelenodolsk, Russian Federation. He took up the game because he acquired a passion for ski from his dad, a lover of this game. He chose skiing over audio.
