He played at the Kay Kyser band. Guy joined the group in 1936. According to the web site of Kay Kyser, “he needed a marginally imposing look betrayed a friendly character. ” Guy livened up the ring with his amazing sense of humor. Whilst in the group, he took a break from music to function in the army. He returned after a time. Gur stayed until 1949 and after with the group that he left it into freelance elsewhere. He played throughout the Pre-Johnny Carson days of the community with the NBC orchestra. After obtaining the job at NBC, he transferred to Van Nuys in California, together with Marie. Guy was a staff musician at NBC for two decades, before his death in 1964. Guy has also played the trumpet for several tunes by Louis Armstrong. Rose Marie shot to fame with her infamous job of Sally Rogers ‘the husband’ whose antics scared guys away instead of bringing them. She found the guy of her dreams. They married in 1946 and fell in love. Marie was just 22 years old at that moment.

Bobby Guy passed away in 1964 at age 48. The official announcement from the physician said he died from, “a sudden, overpowering blood infection. ” Rose Marie and Bobby Guy were only a couple weeks away in their 18th wedding anniversary. For Rose Marie, the unexpected passing of her husband was quite difficult to shoot but she overcame her reduction for the interest of her daughter, “I brought up my daughter as my husband died after he was 48 years old,” she explained. “Therefore I had a dual responsibility to treat her, take care of me, deal with my mom and also make sure I went with the livelihood. I’m very thankful to my supporters because I kept me moving. ” Rose Marie continued to remain in the exact same house for several years to come and altered the decor much afterwards. Until then, she wished to keep everything how Guy left it. She never married.

Marie and Guy are lived by their only daughter and only child, ‘Georgiana Marie Guy. They called her ‘Noopy’. Rose Marie was an accomplished equestrian in her childhood and had won a few awards in spite of the fact that she suffered from an accident so large that it could have nearly finished her career.
